In today's post I'll show you how to flash / upgrade your Rikomagic MK802IIIS Android Mini PC. First of all, you'll have to install Rockusb v2.0 Driver on your PC. If you have Windows 8 you better folow the procedure presented in this video. The driver and the RK Batch Tool can be downloaded from here.
Next, download the latest Rikomagic firmware version 20130118 from here or from here.
Now you have to put the MK802IIIS in 'firmware update mode'. For that, you have to run RK Batch Tool, prepare a thin metal stick, press the recover button by the stick according below method, connect the unit with computer through the USB OTG port, not the power port (Micro USB to USB cable), hold it for 3-5 seconds and then loose the stick.
This procedure will cost 3 minutes so please wait patiently, during recovery/upgrade, don’t remove the USB cable. When the final prompt window appears, then means recovery is successful, pull out USB cable, then total process is finished.
First turn on the unit after recovery/update will cost more long time, and even occur some lag issue, it’s normal since internal applications file need to be decompressed and occupy RAM, after 5 minutes, then system running well. So don’t worry about that. If you get stuck, may consider to restart the device.

Hello Everybody. In this chapter I'll show you how to get 3G internet connection on your Rikomagic MK802IIIS stick, ZTE MF110 dongle, from Digi Net Mobil (Romania).
Hardware demands:
1. Rikomagic MK802IIIS stick Android Stick;
2. ZTE MF110 dongle with activated SIM.
Applications needed (free download from Play Store):
- check 'Activate Superuser' --> download and install update.
- in applications tab, choose for PPP Widget the 'Allow' option for acces and save.
PPP Widget settings
- Complete the APN field with the word 'internet'
- @ 'Calling number' put '#777'
- the rest like in the video.
To have in mind:
- your firmware version must to has root acces; (you can check that with Root Checker.) BTW, mine is the official 20121220 version, it came with the stick.
Late last night I had tested a litlle bit more the Mele firmware installend on Rikomagic MK802II. In a very few words I can say about this firmware is that:
- this version runs very smoothly and fast;
- the air mouse Rikomagic MK702 works out-of-the-box
- this version can read multiple USB flash disks through an USB hub;
- this version has root acces
- with my VX800 Microsoft webcam I only managed to have image in Skype, without any audio.
Although it was very late in the night, I could't resist last night and I had tested for the first time the new Rikomagic MK802IIIS Android Mini PC, toghether with the Rikomagic air mouse MK702.
I played with this amazing adult toy about 30 minutes, and the feeling was incredible good. The Rikomagic MK802IIISrund the latest Android version, Jelly Bean 4.1.1, and toghether with the Rikomagic air mouse MK702 makes a gorgeous dream team. The firmware the stick came with is 20121220, is rooted, scored 7.368 points in Antutu Benchmark, runs very fast and seems to be rock solid. This version of firmware managed to see multiple USB flash disks through an USB hub, also it was able with no problem to see and acces my Windows 8 Network Places. The audio and video quality in Skype is very good, using my VX800 Microsoft webcam.
So, in conclusion, everything worked just fine last night; I'll be back with news and details about applications, firmware upgrades and many orher things in the next chapters, so keep an eye on this blog for more to come.

I had just received yesterday the Rikomagic MK802IIIS HDMI Stick, toghether with the MK702 Air Remote and I'm very pleased by the design and quality of the new and improved version of Rikomagic MK802 series device. I already own a Rikomagic MK802II stick and I like them both because a HDMI Android stick like this is a great Media Player and turns instantly a dump LCD/LED/Plasma TV into a fancy Smart TV. Hello everybody, I just installed a few minutes ago the Mele firmware A10 neutral version 20130102 on my Rikomagic MK802II stick and I can only say for now that the system looks and works incredible fast and smoothly. I only had the time to verify that this version of firmware is rooted and Google Play runs with no problem. You can download Mele firmware A10 neutral version 20130102 from here and use PhoenixCard Tool to burn it to micro SD card, just like in this video tutorial.

In this short tutorial I'll show you how to fully deactivate / disable the 'Spell Checker' on your Android Device.
1. Go to 'Applications' 2. Search for 'Settings' icon and press it. 3. In the left column select 'Language & Input' 4. In the right side uncheck the 'Spell checker' option. 5. Press the Settings icon next to 'Android keyboard'. 6. Go to 'Auto correction' tab and press it then turn it off. 7. Go to 'Show correction suggestions' tab and press it then turn it off. 8. Go to 'Advanced settings' tab and uncheck 'Suggest Contact names' option. 9. Voila, you're done!
In this short tutorial I'll show you how to change the chinese language on your Android device to english or your country language.

I have tested for you a good version of Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 on my Rikomagic MK802II stick. The firmware is stable and runs very well all the basic apps. If you want to try this version, you cand download the firmware image file from here and use this video tutorial to upgrade it. Youtube app works just fine and the Skype audio and video quality is good. (I used my VX-800 Microsoft webcam). Antutu benchmark score on this firmware is 2.889 points, better than 2.683 obtained with the JellyBean 4.1 version.
In the below videos you'll see how my 7' Pipo Smart S1 tablet managed the Antutu Benchmark. The scores are delightful.
In the first test my tablet obtained a 11.979 score, and in the second test the score was an incredible 12746 points. The maximum score obtained by me with this lovely tablet in Antutu Benchmark till now was an amazing 13.105 points.
